Located in the heart of Dublin’s North Inner City, The Schoolyard is a contemporary residential development which sits on a prominent corner location between Dublin’s North Circular Road and Portland Street North. The Schoolyard completes the existing ‘Bakers Yard’ residential development to the North. The new build development comprises 61 apartments ranged over 5 – 7 floors.

The predominantly brick clad building with recessed balconies has been designed to sit comfortably within the historic Georgian streetscape of North Circular Road whilst addressing the existing Bakers Yard Development.

The apartments are arranged around a generously proportioned courtyard located between the new and existing developments. Stone from the former brewery on the site has been incorporated into the landscape design which is accessible to all residents.

In addition to the apartments achieving A3 BER rating the development also incorporates green roofs and incorporates a CHP heating system. The Schoolyard is Ireland’s first LEED Gold-designed residential development.

Commercial and retail uses at ground level create an active frontage onto the tree lined street in addition to the residential entrances. Car parking, bicycle storage and other residents’ facilities are all located at grade, and out of sight to the rear of the commercial units.
